Michael Wright

Head Coach


A Charlotte, North Carolina native with a B.S. in Business Management. Coach Wright is an experienced basketball coach with over 8 years of coaching knowledge on a national prep level. Coach Wright was a head coach for five years holding a record of 83 wins. Some of Michael’s successes include 3 years as an assistant coach at Quality Education Academy in Winston Salem, NC where he assisted with 71 wins and the development of 9 Division-1 athletes. Coach Wright recruited and coached both mid and high major players; most notably reflects on times when he aided in the defeat of prominent teams such as Oak Hill and Huntington Prep. Another notable moment was having the privilege of watching one of his former player succeed to the 2016 NCAA Tournament after being told that he’d never graduate high school. Coach Wright lends much of his success to building a positive rapport with athletes, parents and coaches and prides himself on the development of the players through his enduring mentorship which helps guide young athletes to achieve their highest potential both on and off the court.

Ben Johnson

Assistant Coach-Director of Player Development


An honored graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Fitness and Wellness Management, Coach Johnson brings with him over 14 years of coaching experience; he lends various levels of expertise to our program with coaching skills ranging from High School, Junior College and Prep School. In addition, Coach Johnson has also worked with the Nike EYBL Circuit and has helped over 20 young men and women achieve athletic scholarships. Some of the highlights of Ben’s coaching career has been to have a hand in and witness the rise in self-esteem of his athletes as he’s aided in the winning of numerous conference championships, AAU state championships and other well-known tournaments; coach still maintains relationships with many of his former players today. As a devoted father of four to Jazmyne, Camille, Jacob and Christian, he prides himself on being a loyal father, coach and man of his word. Coach Johnson’s philosophy is “help a child learn their worth in life first and then they can become better in whatever they choose”.

Raymont Wolfred

Assistant Coach-Director of Scouting


A graduate of North Greenville Community College with an Associates in Child Psychology. Coach Ray is dual-native of both Philadelphia, PA and Montgomery County in Maryland, Coach Wolfred imparts several years of strong coaching and basketball experience both personally and professionally. While playing for his high school basketball team at Richard Montgomery HS in Rockville, MD, Raymont earned his first team All-Country and honorable mention. After attending North Greenville Community College, Raymont settled in Rock Hill, SC where he’s been coaching at Clinton Junior College for the past eight years in charge of skill development working specifically with the guards.

Some of Coach Wolfred’s most notable accomplishments include:
– Recruiting and developing five Region X First Team All-Conference players
– Two honorable mention Juco All-American players
– Participation in Region X Championships in 2009 and 2012
– Two consecutive years of participation in the Region X Final Four

Coach Wolfred’s superior coaching and appreciation of academic excellence have led to all of his recruits being graduates with a two year degree from Clinton Junior College with advancement to four year institutions.

Ashley Rivens

Assistant Coach-Director of Sports Performance


A Charlotte, North Carolina native and a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Computer Science. Coach Rivens brings remarkably impressive basketball statistics and skills to our program; as a four-year starter at West Charlotte High School, Ms. Rivens received first team All-Conference and All-Observer her junior and senior years. Her career highlights include having 1200+ points, 500+ assists and 250+ steals as well as being a four-year scholastic women’s basketball player at Georgia Southern University where she was named an NCSA Strength and Conditioning All-American. Ashley is certified through USA Weightlifting, Training for Warriors and the Agility Training Institute.

Ashley administers multiple showcases and events in North Carolina with her NCAA scouting service, Ladies Elite Hoop Report, driven by her unfailing desire to help student-athletes achieve superiority. She has aided with the overall development of student-athletes from grad school to the pros and her motto is, “Give everything you have because what you save is lost forever”.
